BINGE DRINKING ON THE RISE IN ASIAN COMMUNITIES

More needs to be done to tackle binge drinking within the Asian community according to a mental health expert.

The worst communities are Tamil, Sikh and Punjabi and they often struggle to tell loved ones and get the help they need.

It’s believed they make up a significant proportion of increasing hospital admissions due to alcohol.

Gucharan Singh Dhaliwal who used to work for the mental health services told us he thinks the community can help
