Attorney General To Review Sentence Of Happy Slapping Teenagers

30 July 2010

The Attorney general is to review the sentences of two teenagers convicted of the manslaughter of a pensioner outside a Tooting mosque.

67 year old Ekram Haque died a week after his head was smashed on a pavement last August in Church Lane and was witnesses by his 3 year old grand daughter.

His attackers 16 year old Leon Elcock, and 15-year-old Hamza Lyzai could walk free within months after they were sentenced at the Old bailey on Monday.

The pair along with a 14 year old had attacked an elderly couple just days before and their victims say they haven’t been to the mosque as much ever since.
