Britain ’not truly multi-cultural’

31 July 2010

Britain needs to become more welcoming and accepting of other religions when it comes to making state decisions.

It’s according to one of the men involved in the Inter-Faith-Initiative, a London wide project to bring different faiths closer together.

Harmander Singh believes being because it’s traditionally protestant, Britain’s government either takes a secular or a christian outlook when it comes to making decisions, ignoring other religions and communities.

He says he believes parliament and the Church of England tries to listen to other faiths, but still doesn’t really take them seriously.
